Celebrating Quality

Volunteer Centres Derbyshire are celebrating as they have been awarded the Volunteer Centres Quality Accreditation from Volunteering England.

Volunteer Centres Derbyshire are especially proud as they were the pilot nationally for the award scheme. It has enabled a standardisation of the professional service that Volunteer Centre’s already provide in their districts, which meet the needs of groups who work County and Cross District wide. This has additionally resulted in a new Volunteer Centre covering the Bolsover area.

Pete Newby, Volunteer Centres Derbyshire Network Coordinator said “It was a year’s hard work, which has highlighted that Volunteer Centres Derbyshire are leading on good practice in volunteer management. This has resulted in other volunteer centre networks asking Derbyshire for support and advice.
